I am looking for a system that is free that a user can upload any type of file and the files are indexed for searching and includes a calender and system of project management. It would even be better if it was open source programmed in php so that it could be altered, customized, and able to add functionality and features. Anyone know of such software?
24. January 2012 at 4:56 pm
A great list, covering every tool I’ve heard about (and quite a few that I haven’t!) If you want to add another great option to the list, HappyTodos (http://www.happytodos.com) is an up-and-coming contender for a really great project management tool, with a great feel to it (the UI is a bit rough around the edges, but it’s going to get a major facelift soon). It’s got a dashboard so you see where are all your projects stand, a drag-n-drop prioritisation option – in short, definitely something you want to check out.

Its easy to use and FREE. The biggest plus is for planning, we use it to help plan ahead and distribute work among team members. Good to check out!

Nice list, but it would be great too add Comindware task management software. It’s web based solution too with with generating reports in real time. Compared to Nozbe or Basecamp, Comindware has more intuitive interface with a lot of flexible options.
